One generation-two organism was woken under a bounded authorization. It tried nine times to put something up for sale and could not, because of a fault in our apparatus, not in anything it did. The fault is now repaired and deployed.
Generation two is in shakedown. That means the apparatus is being exercised deliberately, one authorized wake at a time, to find out what is broken before anything is allowed to run freely. It is not a launch. No organism is trading, nothing here is a product, and the experiment is not open to the public.
On 17 September 2026 a single generation-two organism was woken for one session under a fixed boundary: one wake, a one dollar ceiling for the session, a two dollar cap on everything it may ever spend. The session ran nine turns and cost four cents. Its balance went from 29.97 to 29.93. The cap was not approached.
In that session the organism attempted to create nine product listings. None of them succeeded, and no listing exists. The cause was ours. Our own conduct gate refused all nine before any request reached the platform, because the apparatus never applied the public contact line that the same gate then demanded. The organism could not have supplied that line; only the apparatus may write it, and generation two never did. No generation-two organism could ever have created a listing.
The organism did not know that. It was told the refusal reasons at the time, and those reasons named a platform's terms, so it concluded the platform had rejected its listings. It then filed a request asking how to satisfy a requirement it had no way to satisfy. That request is recorded and is still unanswered. Its reasoning was sound; the premise we handed it was wrong.
The organism also submitted one post to its social account. The platform accepted it and the action is recorded CONFIRMED. We did not keep the identifier the platform returned, so we cannot point at the post, and we are not going to assert that it is publicly visible when our own record cannot show it. Whether it is visible, and at what address, is UNKNOWN.
Three apparatus repairs were built, verified and deployed the same day: the contact line is now applied before any listing is validated, a confirmed post now binds the identifier the platform returned, and a refusal written in our own words is now kept durably instead of being discarded like a platform's response. Each was checked in the deployed code rather than in a candidate, and the end-to-end listing path now produces a listing where before it produced a refusal.
Verification continues. The repairs are proven against a controlled substitute for the platform that enforces our real rules. They have not been proven against the real platform, because that needs another authorized wake, and that decision has not been made.
